Nortel management, and some law firms friendly to Nortel and its large creditors, want you to believe that you have no power to get more than your pro-rata share of cash proceeds for your termination and severance pay in the CCAA proceedings. We feel it is imperative that you know this information is inaccurate. We estimate that the Nortel Canadian terminated employees are owed a de minimus 1% of the total value owed to all Nortel creditors. On the other hand, it is likely there are 1,100 Nortel Canadian terminated employees and this headcount exceeds the 50.1% headcount needed for approval of the Nortel restructuring plan. This headcount majority gives the Canadian terminated employees group leverage to achieve more than its pro- rata share of the value taken by the unsecured creditors, even achieving payment in full.
)Our firm has prepared a comprehensive, unique and what we believe to be a cutting edge plan on how to maximize your recovery of termination and severance pay in the Nortel CCAA proceedings. No other firm is doing that for you.
)We take no fees from you. We hope to obtain a representation order to protect the legal rights of Nortel terminated employees. We are willing to do our work for you on complete contingency. Contingency means that we only get paid upon and from recovery of monies on your behalf.
)We need to file motion materials to protect your legal rights at the April 20th-21st CCAA hearing.
)You can learn more about our legal plan by attending the webinar on March 16th. If you think we have the best plan to represent the Nortel terminated employees e-mail us or sign-up at our website:
