  1. Dear Desk Jockey,

I stand and I applaud you. You’ve said what I feel, I have 30 years here. Those people out there that have not walked in ours shoes can make NO comment about us or how we feel, what our losses are!!! They insense me with their stupid comments.

Started with John Roth, I lost $100K of investment money (money I put in) retirement money. Thousands of hours of overtime worked because I once believed, and not paid for it either thank you very much. Thank you Roth, a man who wouldn’t even donate a penny to the poor and needy…says a lot about him doesn’t it? Just remember what goes around really does come around, 100 fold for him.

I’ve spoke to many of my colleagues – Nortel employees — an we agree with you 200%. Good for you for writing how you feel, how I feel, how we feel.

One can only hope the same will bounce back to Z and his kind. He is the most arrogant, self centre, egotistical man I’ve ever met.

Inspite of our pain and loss and the economy I truly believe there is life for us out there. Another job to be had, we will move on, we will survive this.

Thank you for staying strong in your beliefs. NO ONE can take that from you, from us.

  3. Tomorrow is Friday, and z-man has spent the week busily touch-typing his next z-mail to us suckers.

    For a visual, start at 0:34 seconds…

  4. Hilarious! Loved the sarcasm 🙂 May be Mr. Z should include the link to these videos in his depressing emails. At least he might make us laugh…

  6. So if I had the time and inclinations I would create a series of 4 of these clips on the downfall:

    Nortel under Roth:
“I should never have trusted those *#$@+ at CSFB… ‘Pay $8B for Bay Networks,’ they said… I was supposed to be the guy who proved that a great engineer can be a great CEO!”

    Nortel under Dunn:
“I should never have trusted those *#$@+ in H.R. … ‘If we defer all these expenses, we can pay bonuses,’ they said… I was supposed to be the guy who proved that a great CFO can be a great CEO!”

    Nortel under Owens:
“I should never have trusted those *#$@+ on the board … ‘The accounting thing is behind us, we just want you to stabilize the business,’ they said… I was supposed to be the guy who proved that a great Admiral can be a great CEO!”

    Nortel under Zafirovski:
“I should never have trusted those *#$@+ at McKinsey… ‘If we adopt better processes, we can create a viable number two in the market after Cisco,’ they said… I was supposed to be the guy who proved that a great GE-man can be a great CEO!”

  7. Here’s the challenge. Who can create the best Nortel CEO video modeled after this one:

    Real estate downfall
The housing bubble bursts on a speculator
